This Thursday morning all Y11-13 students will be off timetable for our annual Careers Fair and Employability Day. This important event is part of our programme to prepare our Y11-13 students for whatever path they choose following their GCSEs. It provides Y11-13 students the opportunity to explore potential career options, speak to employers and attend sessions on apprenticeships, employability skills and get some important guidance on the important skills of writing CVs and filling in applications.
This year’s timetable includes sessions from the Armed Forces, Careers in Science, Construction, Engineering, Health & Social Care, Hospitality, ICT/Computing, Media/Digital, Sport plus a session dedicated to what higher education is.
Our fair, in PA1, will see stands from a number of employers and further/higher education providers such as Confetti, Derby University, Joined Up Careers, GXO Logistics, Lincoln University, Loughborough University, Nottingham Trent University, Royal Navy and Webs Training.
