Welcome

I am incredibly excited to unveil the plans for our new building project at Friesland School, which is the culmination of more than two years of planning and preparatory work.  The proposal is for our old buildings and the sports centre to be replaced with a brand new, modern teaching block and separate sports block, alongside a full redevelopment of the landscaping towards the rear of the school where our existing buildings currently stand.  This is not an expansion project, Friesland will remain the same size, but a wonderful and long overdue opportunity to replace our old buildings and fully modernise our site.  As always, myself and our construction partners welcome any views and feedback during this consultation period.

There will be an in-person event taking place on Wednesday 2nd October, 5-8pm, in the school hall

We welcome any comments regarding these proposals by email please to FrieslandQueries@bam.com by Friday 11th October

The School Rebuilding Programme (SRP) project at Friesland School will address the significant condition need of the current buildings, providing a new teaching block (with sports hall) whilst also taking the opportunity to reconfigure the external spaces to work better for the students and staff. The new building will be significantly better for the environment too, with Net Zero Carbon in Operation credentials including a green roof, solar panels and extensive planting and habitat areas to encourage wildlife to thrive on the redeveloped site. We are really excited about this project and the significant positive impact it will have for the community of Sandiacre.
