Students at Friesland School, which is part of The Two Counties Trust, have been collecting a set of fantastic GCSE grades today.  

Students, staff and families have come together to celebrate the results of five years of hard work to secure these grades.  

Students who have achieved particularly impressive results include:   

 

  • Joshua Barnes who achieved eight grade 9’s and two grade 8’s and will be staying at Friesland 6th Form 
  • Isla Love who achieved eight grade 9’s, one grade 8 and one grade 7 and will be staying at Friesland 6th Form 
  • Emily Dodson who achieved seven grade 9’s and three grade 8’s and is moving on to Bilborough College 
  • Mya Venison who achieved seven grade 9’s, one Distinction*, one grade 8 and one grade 7 and is staying at Friesland 6th Form 
  • Yasmin Lennon who achieved six grade 9’s and four grade 8s and is staying at Friesland 6th Form 
  • James Crosby who achieved six grade 9’s, two grade 8’s, one grade 7 and one grade 6 and is staying at Friesland 6th Form 
  • Sophie Richmond who achieved six grade 9’s, one grade 8 and one grade 7 who is hoping to remain with us at Friesland for 6th Form 
  • Nathaniel Faghy who achieved five grade 9’s, two grade 8’s, two grade 7’s and a Distinction and will be staying with us at Friesland for 6th Form 

 

Craig Patterson, Headteacher, at Friesland School, said:  

“I am incredibly proud that all of our student’s hard work and commitment has been rewarded with these excellent results, everyone really has done themselves, their families and their school proud. 

“This year’s results are the culmination of 5 year’s ambition and teamwork from the whole Friesland Family, and I would like to recognise the hard work of our teachers and all staff in supporting our students to achieve such fantastic results. 

“These results genuinely reflect our values and the journey of continual improvement that we are on. I would like to wish our leavers the very best for their next steps and look forward to welcoming many back as 6th formers next month.”
