Celebrations are underway at Friesland School as students collect their GCSE grades today.  

Students, staff and families are joining together to mark the accomplishments of all the students, who have demonstrated their hard work and commitment to their studies.  

Alongside the continued success of the school, there are also some standout individual performances, including: 

  • Ben Lihou: Seven 9’s and three 8’s  
  • Ruchi Kaur: Seven 9’s, one 8 and two 7’s  
  • Niamh Byrne: Five 9’s, four 8’s and one 7  
  • Daniel Dalby: Five 9’s, one Distinction*, one Distinction, two 8’s and one 7
  • Ben Johnson: Six 9’s, two 8’s, one 7 and one 5  
  • Isla Meakin: Five 9’s, two 8’s and three 7’s  
  • Thomas Coffey: Four 9’s, one 8, three 6’s and one Merit  
  • James Sheppard: Three 9’s, four 8’s, three 7’s  
  • Jayden Patel: One 9, one Distinction*, four 8’s and four 7’s  
  • Amelia Nugent: Two 9’s, four 8’s and four 6’s 

Mr Craig Patterson at Friesland School, said:  

“Congratulations to all our Year 11 students receiving their results today. I would like to thank our families for their support and recognise the hard work and commitment of all our students during their time at Friesland and especially throughout Y11 and the intense exam period.  

“As a school we are so proud of what the Class of 2023 has achieved, with their results today the culmination of five years of ambition, resilience and commitment.  I would also like to recognise the hard work and teamwork shown by all the staff at Friesland in supporting our students to be successful.  

“I would like to wish all of our leavers the absolute best for the future, whatever they choose to do next, and look forward to welcoming many back to our 6th Form in September.”
