Derby County Community Trust work in partnership with Friesland School to provide a bespoke post 16 education offer allowing students to continue to train and play football with Derby County staff alongside their studies within Friesland’s Sixth Form.

Due to the wide range of academic opportunities within the Sixth Form at Friesland, students can study a variety of A Levels or the OCR Cambridge Level 3 Qualification in Sport & Activity. Students will be based within the schools sixth form throughout the school day studying their chosen subjects before heading up to the state of the art 3G football pitch that Friesland School have on site for their football training.

The football element of the programme is ran by Derby County Community Trust with 3 weekly training sessions a week which take place after the school day and a fixture which takes place on Wednesday’s. Our teams play in the EFL CEFA Leagues alongside all other EFL clubs who run similar programmes across the country.

The course is a 2 year course whether students study A Levels or the OCR Cambridge Level 3 Qualification providing students who wish with the opportunity to go to university or the USA on a football scholarship.
